Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the Aaj Ki Rasoi website and mobile app (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
What the Service is
Aaj Ki Rasoi helps households plan their week of meals: a public library of Indian recipes, personalised weekly meal plans, grocery lists, and optional delivery of plans over WhatsApp. Features may change as the product evolves.
Who may use it
You must be at least 18 years old, or use the Service under the supervision of a parent or guardian who agrees to these terms on your behalf.
Your account
- Keep your login credentials secure — activity under your account is your responsibility.
- Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
- You may delete your account at any time, in the app or by writing to us.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law, or interfere with or disrupt the Service;
- access the Service by automated means that burden it, or attempt to bypass its security;
- submit content that is unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or harmful;
- misuse other users’ information.
Content you submit
You keep ownership of content you submit to the Service (such as recipe links or details). You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process, adapt, and display it in order to operate and improve the Service — including, where a submission feature says so, making a recipe available in the public library. You are responsible for having the rights to what you submit.
Recipes are not professional advice
Recipes and meal plans are provided for general information. They are not medical or nutrition advice. Always check ingredients against your own allergies, intolerances, and dietary or religious requirements before cooking or eating, and consult a professional for medical or dietary conditions. Preparation times, servings, and nutrition details are estimates and may be inaccurate.
Third-party content and services
The recipe library links to original recipe sources on third-party websites, and WhatsApp delivery relies on WhatsApp (operated by Meta). We are not responsible for third-party sites and services, and their own terms apply to your use of them.
Our content
The Service — its design, software, name, and branding — belongs to us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app and website for your own household’s meal planning. Don’t copy, resell, or redistribute the Service or substantial parts of its content.
App stores
If you downloaded the app from Apple’s App Store or Google Play, their terms also apply. Apple and Google are not parties to these terms, are not responsible for the Service or its content, and have no obligation to provide support or handle claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms for apps obtained from the App Store and may enforce them.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any recipe will suit your needs.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim and ₹1,000. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access that breaches these terms or harms the Service or other users, with notice where practicable. Sections that by their nature should survive — including content licences, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — survive termination.
Changes
We may update these terms as the Service evolves. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes relating to them, subject to any consumer-law rights you have in your place of residence.
